Absentee Voting

Absentee ballots are available for request approximately 45 days prior to a federal election and 21 days prior to a non-federal election. You may fill out an application online through the State website MyVote, fill out an application in person, or submit a request by mail.

If you are not registered to vote in the Town of Beaver Dam, you will have to register before you can obtain an Absentee Ballot. (Voter Registration Applications may also be completed online using MyVote during the open registration period.  Open registration closes 20 days prior to an election, and during late registration you may still register in person in the Clerk's Office.  There is no registration the Monday prior to an election.)

All requests for an Absentee Ballot must be made in writing from the elector.

  • Request in Person (Photo ID required.)

  • Request by Mail (Photo ID may be required.)

  • You may request that a ballot be mailed to you.  Fill out the Application for Absentee ballot (link below) completely and mail to the  Clerk, W8540 County Road W, Beaver Dam WI 53916. The Application must be received by the Clerk no later than 5:00 PM on the Thursday before the election in order for an Absentee Ballot to be mailed to you.  You may instead easily request a ballot by mail online at www.myvote.wi.gov .
